Mountain Gorillas natural mountain habitat is in the corner
of
the three countries, Congo,
Uganda &
Rwanda.

On
arrival in Kigali, the capitol of
Rwanda, one is immediately struck
by the cleanliness and well maintained town making it
the cleanest town in Africa.
The
terrain consists of mountains and gently rolling hills,
with plains and swamps in the east.

Wildlife and the scenic beauty in
this mountainous country, including mountain
gorillas and other wildlife,
have led to a fast-growing tourism sector. |
Agriculture
is everywhere to be seen and due to its mountainous terrain
the Rwandans have developed a unique method of farming
on the steep hill sides. |

and French are the official languages although other languages
are spoken in the country. |

The late
Dian Fossey spent 18 years
in the Volcanoes National Park researching and studying the
Rwandan Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. The
Karisoke research centre in Rwanda
was founded by Dian Fossey on 24th September 1967. Dian

Gorilla
protection in Africa, through anti-poaching and daily monitoring,
is central to the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International’s historic
mission. |

01 - Kigali |
|
| Fly
into Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, meet and greet and transfer
to the 5* Serena hotel to overnight.
Accommodation is 5* plus and includes everything one would expect
from a 5* plus hotel

02 - Gorillas Nest Hotel |

| Hotel
collection after breakfast, visit the
genocide museum and continue
to Gorillas Nest Hotel approx 3 hours drive through
very scenic mountain
terrain.
Ideally
situated close to the Parks Board assembly point
set in lush gardens
surrounded by a plantation
of Eucalyptus trees with magnificent views across the valleys.
Accommodation is in private chalets with en-suite bathrooms
- overnight.

03 - Gorilla Tracking

You are collected and transferred to the Parks office for assembly
& briefing. You are formed into groups by your appointed guide
before setting off into the forests, on your

04 - Flight Home |

are collected from the Serena Hotel and transferred to the airport
