Uganda is a land locked country in East Africa and the source of the River Nile, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Mountain Gorilla's natural mountain habitat lies in the corner of three countries, Congo, Uganda & Rwanda.
With Rwanda's past genocide problems and the ongoing unrest in the Congo, Ugandan Gorilla trekking has been the most popular venue for visiting these magnificent primates over the years.
The official languages are English and Swahili, although multiple other languages are spoken in the country.
Uganda’s main airport is Entebbe on the northern shores of Lake Victoria and served by may international airlines.

Day 01 - Entebbe
Boma guest house within 15 minutes of Entebbe airport

Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be met by your professional safari driver/guide and transferred to Entebbe’s premiere Boma guesthouse for an overnight stay.

Day 02 - Lake Mburo National Park

Drive to Lake Mburo national park, game drive through the park to the lake Mburo Mantana Camp.
Lake Mburo National Park is located between Lake Victoria and the Ruwenzori Mountains and has an extensive area of wetland. The park has zebra, impala, eland, topi, buffalo, sitatunga, hippo, leopard, hyena, jackal, reedbuck, bushbuck and klipspringer. 313 bird species have been recorded here.

The Kimbla-Mantana Tented Camp is situated on a commanding hilltop position inside the park overlooking Lake Mburo and its surrounding eco-systems. All nine luxury guest tents and the restaurant and bar area are set on raised wooden platforms that provide stunning views of Lake Mburo. All Tents include twin beds, mosquito nets, bathroom en suite in the rear of the safari tent with shower and standard flushing ceramic toilet.

Day 03 - Bwindi

Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Visit the
Batwa pygmies. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to a perfusion of exotic species of plants and animals, including the endangered mountain gorillas; it also contained an indigenous people - the Batwa pygmies - the little people.  A pygmy is any group whose adult men grow to less than 150 cm (4 feet 11 inches) in average height. Sadly they are becoming a diminishing race as they continue to interbreed with other taller tribes in the surrounding areas.

Day 04 - Bwindi

Uganda Mountain Gorillas Trekking
Kimbla-Mantana's Engagi Lodge is situated in a large tract of land contiguous with Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The lodge consists of just 8 en-suite cottages, evenly spaced out and hidden in the foliage. Each cottage has either double or twin beds, bathroom en suite with hot and cold running water, showers & flushing toilets. All have private verandas with views of the forest.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to half the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. You set off at 6.30 for the National Parks board assembly point where you meet up with other groups and your personal guide before setting of in search of the Ugandan mountain gorillas trekking experience of a life time. A total of 24 permits are available per day. Once the gorillas have been found, you will spend one hour with the gorillas. This is the experience of a lifetime and one that is never forgotten. Bwindi is an exceptionally rich and varied ecosystem. It is one of the richest forests in East Africa for birds, butterflies and trees. Bwindi also has at least 120 species of mammals including ten species of primates.

Day 05 - Lake Mburo

Drive to Lake Mburo. Afternoon boat trip and game drive. Where Hippo & Crocodile will be experience as well as various game during the tour.

Lodging at Kimbla-Mantana Tented Camp. All meals included.


Day 06 - Entebbe

Drive back to Entebbe. Lunch and dinner at the Boma. All meals included.


Day 07 - Departure - Hotel collection and transfer to airport
Breakfast, transfer to the airport for your international flight home. Breakfast included.

EXTENSIONS available to your Uganda mountain gorillas trekking tour :-
The package is ideally suited to those who want a short break away to do something both very different and unique.
Extensions to this tour are available and could include Queen Elizabeth National Park, Kisinga Channel, Murchison Falls National Park where the mighty Nile is squeezed through a narrow gap and cascades into the the river below.
